Though I love modern quilts with bright colors and graphic designs, there is something about an antique quilt that catches my eye and pulls me in. Made with a large assortment of fabrics and generously quilted, these quilts seem to tell a story of the past.

Now you can make your own "antique" quilt using today's time-saving techniques — rotary cutting, piecing of triangle squares from squares, and foundation paper piecing.

Perfect for reducing your stash, these quilts make wonderful scrap quilts. Why not gather a few friends and trade fabrics for the blocks? Then plan an old-fashioned quilting bee to come together to assemble the blocks.

You'll create a special quilt, filled with memories of friends and love and laughter.
