Make your own custom tote using your favorite hand-dyed fabrics from Starr Designs Fabrics.


Clear and complete instructions take you step-by-step through the process of quilting, cutting, marking and sewing.


The 13"W x 12"H x 4"D tote has two outer pockets and an optional zippered closure which is designed to separate and open fully.

The optional zipper is easy to install and opens to fall flat against the bag giving full access to the interior space.

Two styles of borders add interest and fun. Folded fabric inserts give dimension to the Starrs & Stripes border (shown above). Full-size paper piecing patterns are included for the Starrs & Spikes borders (at left and below).


Buttons sewn on the bottom of the tote reduce wear. Add some to the spike border for even more interest and fun.

Moveable inner pockets enable you to keep your tote organized and to change your handbag in seconds. Load the pockets and insert in your tote. When it's time to change bags, just lift out the pockets, put them in your new bag, and you are ready to go!


Moveable pockets organize the tote and make changing bags quick and easy. Measure the items you carry in your tote and sew the pockets accordingly.

  • Please ask for these products at your local quilt shop.
    (We offer wholesale rates on all patterns to qualified retailers. Just ask your local store to contact us for more information.)
