There are cancer awareness ribbons in every color of the rainbow and then some. While most people know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many don't know that EVERY month features a way to spread cancer awareness and prevention.

We've selected a different ribbon from each month to highlight for 2025, so be sure to check back each month to see new ways to spread cancer awareness.

One easy way to show your support is by making a project using colors that correspond with each month's ribbon. To make this easier for everyone, we've taken the time to select these ribbon colors in solid fabrics from the major fabric companies. Below is an interactive graph with our selections for the entire year AND each individual month.

Submit to the Photo Contest

This month, we're spreading awareness for cervical cancer so get out your teal and white fabrics for your next project.

ByAnnie.com hosts a monthly photo contest year round. Among the prizes, we offer a $50 credit to use on the website for photos featuring sewing projects using ByAnnie products that also are #SewPINK initiative related.

So break out your camera, take some amazing photos of your projects and send them in!

Many members of our ByAnnie family have witnessed their loved ones endure countless treatments and make painful goodbyes. For us, it’s personal. We imagine it’s personal for you, as well.

In joining forces with Fat Quarter Shop, we are encouraging donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Through their research, we move closer to prevention and cures.

Schedule a Mammogram

Despite its limitations, a mammogram is the most effective form of screening. It's not the most enjoyable appointment you'll have all year, but in 20 minutes a mammogram can identify cancer several years before any physical symptoms develop.

It's important to stay positive as you handle your screenings. 1 in 9 mammograms result in a callback for further testing, and 95% of these callbacks do NOT have cancer!
