Clam Up
The blue colorway in this fabric line definitely caught our attention and we had a lot of fun 
imagining different ways we could use the delicate designs.
For starters, we thought that Clam Up would be a perfect contestant for these cute "Bird Song" fabrics! The small size of the pouches works well with smaller prints, and because there are five pouches to sew we had fun mixing and matching the different fabrics.
Clam Up is a great project to sew if you want to bust your stash and make gifts for friends or family. The sides of the pouches make a great opportunity for embroidering a monogram, last name, logo, signature, or note.
And if you sew all five sizes, they can nest inside of each other for space-effective storage!
On this set, we used a white zipper for all five sizes so we could really bring the focus to the fabrics.

Project Bags 2.0
Speaking of different sizes, Project Bags 2.0 was another pattern that came to mind when we were choosing different projects for this blog hop.
This pattern features four sizes to choose from as well as borders that provide a fun opportunity for piecing.
Because the prints in “Bird Song” are so small they work really well on the small border pieces.
We also had fun cutting up the panel piece and adding borders as needed for the backs of 
the bags.
We used the "Twigs Lake" design as our binding because the blue and green together gave us a really nice texture to the handles and edges. It framed the vinyl windows nicely, almost like a picture frame!
Project Bags 2.0 is great for storing project pieces, fat quarters, art supplies, or to give as a gift for a student’s favorite teacher.
The pieced border could even be replaced with chalkboard fabric so you could label the contents or purpose of the bag.

Open Wide 2.0
The other herringbone-style fabric design, "Twigs Blue", made an appearance on our set of Open Wide 2.0 bags. We love using stripes as bindings and borders!
For this set, we used the same fabric design "(Bird Watching Blue") on the large and small sizes but used a slightly different one ("Happy Flower Blue") for the medium size to give a little bit of interest when the three are displayed together.
These bags unzip at the top and open wide to provide easy access to the interior mesh pockets and anything you have stored inside.
They make great gifts and can be used to store electronics, sewing supplies, baby needs, game pieces, and much more.

In Control
And while we’re still on the topic of organization, we have to show off the In Control we had made in "Bird Song." We used a variety of different fabrics on this project and loved how it came together.
In Control is great for managing office supplies, remote controls on the coffee table, grabbable items beside the sewing machine, snacks, baby needs, and more.

Under Cover
"Bird Song" primarily uses tiny prints, but don’t let that dissuade you from using small prints 
on larger projects.
We sewed this Under Cover sewing machine cover with the "Field Book Sky" print and it turned out beautifully. Any sewing machine would love being wrapped in a custom quilt using these fun doodle-y fabrics!
Under Cover has instructions for three popular sewing machine sizes, and they’re easy to customize to fit nearly any machine.
It features zippers for holding instruction manuals, a backside slip pocket that can store a table or base, and a stretchy mesh pocket that is perfect for holding a foot pedal.

Travel Essentials 2.0
Sewing aside, if you’re looking to go on a trip, try our freshly updated Travel Essentials 2.0 pattern! It looks perfectly adorable in "Bird Song" fabrics, almost like it’s ready to take flight!
The Organizer has mesh and vinyl pockets for visible storage. A deep zippered pocket on the bottom on the inside is perfect for larger items.
A zippered pocket on the outside conceals a Hanging Strap that enables the Organizer to be hung from a rod or hook.
A coordinating Hot Tools Sleeve has two compartments, including an outer pocket for cords.
Travel Essentials 2.0 can be used for toiletries or even sewing supplies like thread when going to a sewing retreat!
