ByAnnie Top Voted

WINNER: Tina C.

ABOUT: Tina sewed this beautiful Double Zip Gear Bag for her husband.

THEIR STORY: “For Christmas 2021, I made my daughter a Double Zip Gear Bag for a car bag.

My husband felt left out and wanted one as well. He selected a fabric that had been in my stash for many years and which displays a car of the same make and model as a hot rod he recently built.

His involvement and interest made the project so much fun. The pattern is fabulous and the bag design is top notch."

WHAT WE LOVED: One team member said, "Cool shot of the car on the side of the bag with sitting on the bumper. Great story of the husband getting as interested in the particulars as she did."

Another team member said, "That bag definitely makes me want to get out and cruise. I LOVE it!!" And we have to agree!

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Storyteller Award

WINNER: Valerie

ABOUT: Valerie told us a story about sewing a backpack for her mother.

THEIR STORY: "My mother has Alzheimer's and has carried the same blue leather backpack purse for years and it is so tattered and worn. She doesn't keep anything valuable in it now but she won't go anywhere without it. I wanted to get her a new one but worried she wouldn't recognize the bag as hers if it didn't look similar.

I decided to make her a new one for Christmas and used the Back At Ya ByAnnie pattern and decided on faux leather in blue. After some guidance on using vinyl instead of quilted materials I was successful in making her this bag.

I loved the pattern and as usual it goes together so well with the instructions and accompanying video. Thanks again for your help and inspiration!!"

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Joan E.

ABOUT: Joan sewed a Going Places Garment Bag to carry her hang up clothes in place for the garbage bags she's been using. Definitely an upgrade in our opinion!

THEIR STORY: “I made this garment bag because I travel a lot and have been using a trash bag to put over my hang up clothes. I fell in love with Tula Pink fabric and ByAnnie patterns, I knew this would be a gorgeous match, in fact I loved the fabric so much I didn’t use the accent fabric on front because I couldn’t cover up those beautiful squirrels.

I had made a Take A Stand large bag for my toiletries prior to taking on this challenge, I had tutorials for my previous project but this was an older pattern so I had to watch ByAnnie Live videos for many of the techniques, the hardest part was centering squirrel with such a long zipper on bag front, I couldn’t be happier with the results and can’t wait for next projects.

Oh by the way I thought it only fitting for the squirrels to be in the trees and on my fence where they love to run and jump."

WHAT WE LOVED: We loved how beautiful this garment bag looked hanging out in the cold snow. One team member said, "I love that she hung a bag with squirrels on the fabric on the fence!"

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com
