THEIR STORY: “A sample Ultimate Travel Bag was on display in a local quilt shop and 
immediately I realized the design features and practicality was just what I needed to harness my stuff for my upcoming post-pandemic trips (and to replace a sad and worn case).
Even though I have been sewing since childhood, I learned quite a few tricks along the way and loved using new materials like mesh for pockets and sturdy bag hardware. Looking forward to exploring and relaxing days near and far with a little port and wine tastings along the way."

THEIR STORY: "For the love of second hand shopping For the love of my of hearts For the love of my friend Jill Love. This story started when one day, while second hand shopping in the city of Hamilton, NZ, Jill sat in a cafe for lunch and said her leather bag was too heavy for her shoulder to be walking around second hand shopping all day. As the weeks went by, second hand shopping on the weekend, being almost a habit (or religion) we would get together and Jill would either leave her bag out in the car or Jill would swap out her heavy leather bag, for another tiny red purse.
Jill’s leather hand bag keeps on being used - Jill loves this bag as her daughter bought it for her. The dream bag for Jill got me thinking, it had to be light - and soft and stable gives that in droves! And it had to be practical with a size bigger than a tiny bag to give Jill space for her second hand finds while shopping. Security with a zip on the top and an option for putting the bag cross body, so Jill can shop and carry items about while shopping and not have to be worrying about her purse.
This is where ‘Take a Stand’ came in. I chose the smaller tote size and it still a medium sized handbag. I made it back and white as colour would be an issue - black and white goes with lots of clothes and the wear of black, while second hand shopping makes it and easier colour to get more wear out of, before washing.
I thought - Jill isn’t getting away with me making a bag without it having some of me in it. My favourite shape is hearts and I found a wonderful black and white hearts material that doesn’t scream hearts. Just as well, because Jills last name is also Love. I also snuck in my favourite colour, purple in the netting inside for the pockets.
I have cursed making the bag a bit - I had to undo the zip twice to get the open end right with the tucking under the cut off zip - I have mastered it!! Jill was super excited to receive her band new light weight bag, with plenty of room and zipped up pockets. And the hearts - on point! Plenty of love to go around, Thanks ByAnnie!"

THEIR STORY: “When your daughter wants a bag to hold her loom, what do you do? Tell her to go ByAnnie’s website and pick out a pattern! This Totally Trendy Tote is the large size. I pieced the fabric on point using her favorite colors. I modified the pattern only slightly by making the top border a little shorter and I did not add a pocket. After all the hard work organizing and piecing the fabric, I could not bear to hide any of this beautiful fabric. Once again ByAnnie delivered."
