Let’s see the winners
ByAnnie Top Voted
WINNER: Nikki G @nikki_gimber75
PATTERN: Divide and Conquer
THEIR STORY: I recently finished sewing the Divide & Conquer bag using Tula Pink Deja Vu fabric. I couldn’t be more pleased (and excited) with the final result!

I made it specifically as hand luggage for an upcoming trip, whilst it wasn’t the easiest project, it also wasn’t as difficult as I had anticipated. Having friends support and cheer me on as I sewed was awesome. I felt confident enough to take a few risks & add a couple of adaptations to add a lanyard holder and a fabric slip pocket.
I was particularly inspected by Quilting Elissa’s bag which gave me the energy and drive to finally tackle this amazing bag!
Thanks for a great pattern Annie, your enthusiasm on the add on videos & hearing you say ‘woohoo’ on the videos tickled me and really spurred me on!
Now that it’s complete I can’t wait to get to the airport with everything neatly in one place - feeling just a little smug as I strut my way on to the plane! Thank you again.
WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member David had this to say, "Nikki G had done a great job with her projects. She was able to really focus on the detail of the bag!"

Storyteller Award
WINNER: Jean S
PATTERN: Clam Up
THEIR STORY:
I love design and ease of assembly, and the bags are very useful, especially when traveling. I also learned a new way to install zippers, which makes the bags look very professional.
After making about 10 of them, I decided to make 20 more to send with my cousin, who travels to Honduras every summer where she and her family support a mission project. She will give them to women who live there and have very few possessions.

Quilt Shop Highlight
WINNER: Stacy M
PATTERN: Contain Yourself
THEIR STORY: This was our second class for the B.A.G. Ladies program, and it was a hit! Everyone enjoyed the way the boxes came together, and how easy it is to adjust the size to fit their needs.
There were so many different fabric combinations, and ways that the containers were going to be used. Toys, fabric, precuts, clothing, the options are endless!

She’s soon undergoing breast surgery so I made the pillows for her. Now she’ll have her tote to carry her pillows and things.

Honorable Mention
WINNER: Kimberly B @kimberlyjblack
PATTERN: Bowl Me Over
THEIR STORY: I’m nearly half Irish. I’ve been wanting to make a special purse to carry for St Patrick’s day and March. I picked a green batik for the main, a purple batik for the lining and a coordinating purple, blue and green mix batik.

I chose the Bowl Me Over as the pattern. My health had other ideas. I had to have emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. The purse called out to me to finish her despite needing to take time to recover.
I had no vision of what the purse should look like. One evening, the idea came to me, she had to be a tree of life bag. The front and back of the back were both a perfect size for embroidery designs. I found the perfect tree of life design, 97,000 stitches!
The next few days, I stumbled up and down to my sewing dungeon and the design slowly came together. The final touch was gold tree zipper pulls. I truly believe that putting my bag together healed me a little quicker then just sitting on the couch would have. I took the time to adjust the design by making the front and back the same so that the embroidery was the focus.
WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Bee had this to say, "Celebrating one's culture and history is always a great thing to incorporate into art."
