ByAnnie Top Voted

WINNER: Lyn W

PATTERN: Hot & Heavy

THEIR STORY:  I Love sewing and making for others, Annie's newest Pattern Hot and Heavy is the perfect pattern for gift giving. Machine embroidery initial to give that personal touch.

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Jacque had this to say, " This is such a lovely bag. What a great gift to give someone. So much thought and time put in it will be a hit, I'm sure."

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Storyteller Award

WINNER: Julie S

PATTERN: Backseat Babysitter, Road Trip, Changing Station

THEIR STORY:  My nephew is an Aerospace Engineer. He and his wife are expecting their first baby (a boy) in December. I've made these items for others and their first child in the past and they're used extensively--especially Changing Station.

I decided to use my nephew's career and interest in astronomy as a starting place for fabric ideas.

"Cosmos" was perfect. I've made numerous different ByAnnie bags and learn something new with each project.

I find I'm getting better at each step along the way, especially attaching the bias binding. I thoroughly enjoy each project and love purchasing new fabrics for each one. I can't wait to see what Annie comes up with next!

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Rosemary

PATTERN: Courtside

THEIR STORY:  Next to sewing, Pickleball is my favorite thing. The first one I made I gave to a charity auction so had to make a second. I did add a tab in the back and used a curtain rod hook as it is customary to hang the back on the fencing outside the courts to keep them off the ground. That is one change I would add to your pattern

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Asa had this to say, " Seeing how many different vibes can come from the same pattern is always cool to see, and these bags are a great example of that. One is clean and elegant, the other with a much more hippie kind of vibe. Both definitely conversation starters for the next time you hit the courts."

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Jenifer R

PATTERN: Catch All Caddy

THEIR STORY:  We recently attended our 2-year old granddaughter’s birthday party. Her favorite gift was a baby doll with all the accessories a baby needs. As I examined the very floppy “diaper bag” included (After becoming a By Annie fan, I find myself examining every bag I see!), I could hardly unsnap the opening, the snap was so tight.

How could a toddler do it? I said, “l can do better than this!” I stopped at Walmart on the way home and found a cute pink elephant fat quarter and sewed up a miniature simplified version of the catch all caddy It will be easy for the little mama to carry around and she can see where all of baby’s supplies are!

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Shara had this to say, "Love the mini diaper bag she made for her granddaughter's doll."

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Patty B  @almaelou

PATTERN: Round Trip Duffle

THEIR STORY:  When I go to a quilt retreat I need to take a lot of supplies and if I'm going to be transporting supplies they might as well be in a stylish homemade bag!

I decided to make this duffle bag primarily to pack up all my projects to take with me for the quilt retreats hosted by my local quilt shop.

I chose this duffle bag because the zipper went down the sides which will make it easier to get things in and out of. I added my personal touch with piecing the bands and adding a quilt block to each large pocket.

The most stressful part about making this bag was deliberating about what to piece and the choosing the right fabrics to use. I'm sew happy with the end result. I can't wait to show it off at the next quilt retreat!

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Casey had this to say, "I really like the fabric. The colors match perfectly with the floral pattern."

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Paula B

PATTERN: Switchback

THEIR STORY:  I stressed over finding fabrics to go with the Sewing Woes fabric because there were so many colors. But in the end, I love how it all came together, and I thought Switchback would be the perfect pattern for it.

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Randi had this to say, " The bag was well-executed and I love her bold fabric choices."

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com
