The holidays are coming and it’s time to treat yourself to some pre-holiday inspiration — and perhaps a trip to your favorite local quilt shop for these brand-new fabrics from Island Batik!

Over the past weeks, the Island Batik Ambassadors showed how well ByAnnie projects showcase these new collections that are just hitting stores.

Wow! What fabulous talent they have. It is always our pleasure to work with Island Batik and see what gorgeous fabrics they’ve made available, and it’s fun to see the exciting challenges the Ambassadors work on each month.

We happily provided all the patterns, hardware, zippers, mesh, fold-over elastic, vinyl, magnetsinterfacing, strapping, base stabilizers, and Soft and Stable for each Ambassador’s chosen project.

They also used supplies generously provided by Aurifil thread, Oliso irons, and Schmetz needles. All fabric was, of course, supplied by Island Batik.

All Ambassadors chose projects that have Add-on Videos. These videos are designed to help with the more unique or challenging parts of each project, so even sewists who are new to bag making can achieve professional-looking results.

Each of our newest patterns have accompanying Add-on Videos and come with a coupon code that allows makers to get these videos at no charge.

Now for some eye candy!

First up, we have Brittany of Bobbin with Britanny, who made a gorgeous Take A Stand and matching Running With Scissors using Misty Mornings by Kate Colleran Designs.

Running With Scissors is the perfect case for organizing and protecting all of your tools. The plentiful interior pockets are easily customizable, so each of your tools can have its own little home.

Take A Stand, which is the companion bag for Running With Scissors, features a wide-opening zipper that makes it super easy to get your items in and out of the bag, as well as several pockets for organizing smaller items. The small Take A Stand is perfectly sized to act as a sturdy stand over which to drape Running With Scissors, keeping all of your tools within easy reach.

Next we saw the lovely work of Preeti of Sew Preeti Quilts. Preeti made our Snapshot purse in both the large and small sizes, using the Daisy May collection by Kathy Engle.

Snapshot makes handy and stylish purses with zippered tops that fold over and close with magnetic snaps.

Need more room? Just open the flap and use the bag with the flap up!

Inside you will find convenient slip pockets for storing smaller items, and on the back of each purse is a welt pocket for securing keys or other things you need within easy reach.

Feast your eyes on the beautiful Hang in There made by Connie of Kauffman Designs! Connie made her project using the Poetic Bouquet collection by Island Batik.

Hang In There is a handy and space-saving organizer that drapes over the side of your bed, the arm of a chair, or the side of a sofa.

Hang In There has plentiful pockets in both fabric and mesh, and easily tames a variety of items — books, electronic devices, chargers, remotes, water bottles, and more!

Peach Blossom by Claudia Pfeil was the perfect choice of fabric for this stunning Courtside made by Mania of Mania for Quilts.

Courtside is a spacious hybrid travel duffle/backpack that features an array of pocket styles for carrying everything from pickleball supplies and water bottles to electronic devices and everything needed for travel.

Comfy, padded backpack straps and easy-to-grab handles make this bag the ideal travel companion, and it even fits under an airplane seat!

We just love the luscious purples chosen by Lisa of Lisa’s Quilting Passion. These fabrics are part of the Poetic Bouquet collection by Island Batik and came together beautifully on this set of Pocket Packers.

Pocket Packers is an easy project that features a wide variety of choices of pocket styles, so you can customize it for just about any use you can imagine.

Next we had the pleasure of seeing this lovely Payday purse made by Brenda of Songbird Designs. Brenda used Island Batik’s Playful Posies collection.

Payday is a streamlined wallet/purse that has multiple pockets inside and out to make it easy to carry the essentials. A fold-over flap closes with magnets to keep everything extra secure. The pattern includes instructions for purses in two sizes.

Gail of Quilting Gail also made Payday, but chose to make both sizes so she could showcase more of the beautiful Midnight Garden collection by Island Batik.

Isn’t it amazing how different fabrics can give a project a completely different look?

Catch All Caddy 2.0 is one of our most popular patterns, and Jane of Stitch by Stitch Custom Quilting really hit a home run with her striking fabric choices.

These bright, happy sunflowers are part of the Flora Nova collection by Island Batik.

Julia of Inflorescence Designs found the perfect project to make with the Flower Pot collection by Island Batik. Got Your Back 2.1 really showcases this inspiring rainbow of florals.

Got Your Back 2.1 is a stylish and travel-friendly backpack that features numerous pockets inside and out and a magnetic flap on the outer front pocket. You’ll love the adjustable backpack straps and padded handle that make this the perfect choice for quick trips or everyday adventures.

Kim of Chatterbox Quilts used the
Flora Nova Collection to create this fun Ditty Bags 2.0.

Ditty Bags 2.0 is a quick and easy project that is great for organizing makeup, school supplies, sewing notions, and more. It also makes a fantastic gift.

The pattern includes instructions for handy bags in three sizes.

Connie of Freemotion by the River used the Flutter Fields collection to create this show-stopping Travel Duffle Bag 2.1.

Functional yet stylish, this sturdy duffle carries everything you need for a weekend trip.

The full-zippered top allows easy access to all your gear. Slip and zippered pockets inside and out keep everything organized and close at hand.

Carry with a padded adjustable carrying strap or quick-grab handles. A trolley sleeve on back slips over handles on rolling luggage.

Measuring 13"H x 21"W x 8"D, this is one of our largest bags.

Denise of A Quiltery used Peach Blossom by Claudia Pfeil to give a serene look to this lovely notebook cover.

The Write Stuff pattern includes instructions to make notebook/planner covers in three sizes.

Each cover features a handy outer zippered pocket as well as a slip pocket inside the back.

A flap closure fastens with a hidden magnetic snap, and an attached bookmark makes it easy and quick to find your place.

Lana of LanaQuilts.com used the Flutter Fields collection to create this beautiful and handy In Control caddy.

In Control features five outer slip pockets for easy access to tools and supplies and a zippered pocket on one end to keep personal items safe and secure.

Expanding dividers on the inside organize a multitude of supplies or collapse flat against the interior of the caddy affording a wide-open interior.

Its small footprint makes it perfect for using next to the sewing machine or on a desk or coffee table.

Renee of Pink Tulip Quilting had so much fun making Back At Ya 2.1 that she decided to make three! What a great way to showcase the Flora Nova collection.

This stylish travel-friendly backpack purse has a padded handle as well as adjustable straps.

The bag features a magnetic flap on the front pocket, a zippered quilted pocket on the back, and a full-height zippered mesh pocket inside.

A variety of slip pockets provide easy access to phone, keys, credit cards, ID, and more.

Last but certainly not least, here are the lovely Catch All Caddy 2.0 made by Victoria of Forever Quilting for You and a stunning Courtside made by Megan of Bestquilter. Victoria used the Daisy May collection, while Megan used Floral Fun.

We hope you enjoyed seeing these amazing projects by the Island Batik Ambassadors and that you will follow each of them for even more inspiring projects.
