Power Trip (PBA237)

July 07, 2021

On patterns dated before 070721 (see date in middle at bottom of each page), please make this correction:

The *Tip on page 2 (at the end of the cutting instructions) should read as follows:

*QUILTING TIP:

If you have a longarm (or a favorite longarm quilter!), save time by quilting a ¾-yard (27” x 42/44”) piece of main fabric/Soft and Stable/lining fabric. (You will have to get more than 18” x 58” of Soft and Stable, but the savings in time will be worth it!)

Once quilted, you will be able to cut all the pieces for the project from that quilted piece. You’ll have leftover quilted fabric for some other small projects, too.

On patterns dated before 060922 (see date in middle at bottom of each page), please make this correction:

Page 3, Step II-B-4-d and e (at the end of the cutting instructions) should read as follows:

d. Finger-press the zipper tape over onto the LINING side of the Zipper Strip and, with wrong side of zipper up, sew along the very edge of the zipper tape, flattening the tape against the strip as you go. TIP: A stiletto helps to push raw edges under the zipper tape and to hold the zipper tape in place. This encloses the raw edges and produces a line of topstitching on the outside of the strip.

e. In the same manner, sew the other long side of the zipper to the second Zipper Strip, ensuring that the ends of the two Zipper Strips are even. Turn the zipper tape to the lining side and sew the edge as before.
